Lightweight Design. Heavyweight Protection.

Coming in at a feathery light 690 grams (size M/L), the Stage MIPS Helmet certainly won’t weigh you down as you speed down your favourite MTB trails. However, there’s nothing lightweight about the protection it offers. The dual-density EPS and EPP foam core do a brilliant job of absorbing impact forces, be that a high-speed flow-trail crash or a low-speed technical trail tumble. These impact-absorbing foams are covered by a tough and durable Polylite shell with fibre reinforcement, ensuring this is a lid you can wear time after time, day after day and it will remain up to the task.  The chance of brain injury is also reduced via the use of innovative MIPS technology. 

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Comfort Built-in

So protection is first-rate, what about comfort? Yes, that’s fantastic too. 11 high-flow vents let fresh air rush into the Stage, with internal channelling and 14 exhaust ports creating perfect airflow. Uphill pedalling is now more cool and comfortable than ever. Inside, the contoured 3D XT2 cheek pads and washable X-Static liner create the perfect fit. And with 2-liners, 3-sets of cheek pads and 2-neck rolls you can always get the right fit and feel.
