The Aries Spherical Helmet (MIPS) exceeds stringent safety standards thanks to the combination of cutting-edge safety technology. It starts with Giro’s ball and socket Spherical Technology™, powered by Mips®.

For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Progressive Layering™

The Aries also benefits from an in-mould construction and Progressive Layering™. A tough and durable outer shell covers a two-layer impact-absorbing core. 

With one layer dealing with high-speed impacts and the other with low-speed impacts, the Aries addresses both those low-speed tip-over spills and more adrenaline-pumping crashes that happen when the brakes are off.

With a total of 24 vents, the Ariel is one cool cycle helmet. The Wind Tunnel™ vents are optimised for boosting cool airflow and yet minimising aerodynamic disruption. The Aura Reinforcing Arch has allowed Giro engineers to create large vents, pushing airflow to sensational levels, while also boosting structural integrity. Inside, carefully designed channels create a rush of cool air across your head. 

Even with great airflow, you’ll still generate sweat during particularly intense rides, training and racing.
