Giro’s Aerohead™ MIPS Helmet acquires the same wind-cheating profile as the innovative Aerohead Ultimate but adds increased ventilation to keep triathletes and time trialists cool when the competition is hot.

By using a polycarbonate shell, Wind Tunnel™ ventilation and internal channelling, the Aerohead™ has proven to boost cooling power while remaining aerodynamic. The Aerohead™ MIPS Helmet also features a wrap-around eye shield that offers an impressive field of view with the convenience of a magnetic anchor attachment to allow easy storage of the lens in the “flipped up” position making the helmet perfect for fast swim-to-bike transitions.

Lenses By Zeiss® Optics Shield With Magnetic Attachment: The wrap-around eye shield offers an unblocked field of view with a huge aerodynamic benefit and the shield is made by Zeiss® Optics for unrivalled clarity. A magnetic anchor attachment keeps the shield secure, yet easy to remove, and it can be stored in the “flipped up” position.

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Roc Loc® Air Fit System: This revolutionary fit system adds a new dimension to helmet performance by enhancing cooling, as well as fit comfort and stability. Using a patented design that suspends the helmet just slightly off the top of the skull, Roc Loc® Air allows cool airflow to pass directly over your head, further enhancing the performance of vents and internal channelling that exhaust heat out of the helmet. Fit and feel adjustments mimic the Roc Loc® 5, allowing you to easily custom tune fit tension and fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds using a single hand.
